Online therapy aims to guide you in finding solutions and new approaches to mental health issues, so that by the end of the process, you will have learned how to overcome them.
It is a relatively new approach in mental health and refers to the counseling or psychological assistance provided by the therapist through an online platform.
Online therapy does not replace traditional face-to-face therapy between therapist and client, but it is a very good solution when treatment is interrupted due to distance, a condition that prevents travel, or other limitations.
Online therapy adheres to the same rigor as traditional therapy, with the only difference being that a computer is between the therapist and the client. Distance therapy is not such a new concept. Freud and other practitioners used to stay in touch with their patients through letters, offering feedback and counseling.
